North Louth Floods - Erin McGreehan

North Louth Floods

In the aftermath of the recent floods in County Louth, I commend the resilience of our community. Despite tireless efforts, challenges persist with flooded buildings and inaccessible roads. Urgently calling for a debate on emergency planning, we need to ensure adequate support from local authorities. Elderly residents faced days of isolation, emphasizing the need for improved emergency services.

Crucially, there’s no scheme for agricultural enterprises affected by the floods—fields, fences, and access roads need support. Join me in advocating for a more robust emergency response plan and comprehensive assistance for our community’s recovery.
