Dunleer allocated €50,000 in Town Centre First funding – McGreehan

Louth Senator Erin McGreehan has welcomed confirmation that Dunleer town centre will benefit from funding of €50,000 allocated by the Department of Rural and Community Development under Measure 3 of the Town Centre First Suite of Supports 2024.

The funding is part of a nationwide allocation of €2,580,795.85 targeted at assisting local authorities to create a pipeline of significant, well-developed projects in local towns across Ireland.

Senator McGreehan said: “I am delighted that Dunleer will receive €50,000 in Town Centre First funding.

“Project will prepare designs to create a new public realm square comprising new hard surfaces, kerbing, street furniture, feature lighting, soft landscape planting, cycle parking and signage.

“Fianna Fáil in government have placed a huge emphasis on the regeneration and rejuvenation of towns all across the country. We are determined to continue investing to give towns the tools they need to improve and become a more attractive place in which to live, work, visit and invest. We will continue to prioritise investment in the regeneration and revitalisation of our town centres.”
