Fianna Fáil TD, Deputy Erin McGreehan, has welcomed the announcement from her party colleague and Minister Dara Calleary of funding for Louth and Meath under the Community Recognition Fund.
The total funding allocated to both counties’ totals of up to €1.5 million and will enhance and provide excellent amenities for communities.
This, the third announcement of projects under the 2024 fund, will deliver real and tangible benefits to communities across the country who have welcomed new arrivals in recent years to their cities, towns and villages.
Speaking on today’s announcement Deputy McGreehan said: “I am thrilled today to hear of nearly €1.5 million in funding for projects across Louth and Meath.
“This funding will go towards 9 projects in Louth and 4 in Meath, investing in sports clubs, community centres, play spaces, trails, and parks.
The funding under the Fund will go right to the heart of our communities, says Deputy McGreehan.

McGreehan has concluded by thanking her party colleague for the delivery of this vital funding for both counties, and congratulated the projects awarded funding.
