Louth General Election Candidate Senator Erin McGreehan has said that the Ardee Bypass planning decision is “hugely significant for Ardee, this bypass could be a game changer for the town and a regeneration scheme must be designed and commenced for the people and the business owners of Ardee.

Speaking on this, Senator Erin McGreehan said that “There is serious congestion in Ardee town on a daily basis, this is not good for anyone, residents or business owners.  We need to make sure that Ardee has a regeneration plan to take advantage of what the town has to offer. To ensure that if the town is bypassed we must have a way to encourage visits to the town centre”.

“This could be a new beginning for mid Louth – I have worked with many in the Mid Louth area and if elected to Dáil Eireann I will be absolutely working to ensure that  Ardee town gets support to start planning for that bypass. To ensure that the town is sold as a tourism destination and a place where we all can enjoy. The history and what the town of Ardee can offer must be celebrated”.
