Fianna Fáil TD for Louth Erin McGreehan is encouraging sports clubs and organisations across the constituency to prepare for the opening of the Sports Capital Funding portal.

The registration portal is set to open on Monday, 28th September, giving clubs and organisations an initial three-week period to check and confirm their registration details ahead of the formal application process.

Applications for Sports Capital Funding will formally open on 19th October, with applications remaining open until 26th February.

Deputy McGreehan is encouraging clubs to use the initial registration period to ensure all their details are in order and to begin preparing for the application process.

“Sports clubs and organisations across Louth play an incredibly important role in our communities, providing opportunities for people of all ages to participate in sport, stay active and build strong community connections.

She continued:

“The Sports Capital Funding programme provides an important opportunity for clubs to invest in their facilities and equipment, and I would encourage every club considering an application to start preparing now.

The registration portal opens on Monday, 28th September, with formal applications opening on 19th October and closing on 26th February,” she said.

Concluding she said:

“I am very happy to assist clubs in Louth where I can, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if your club has any questions or needs assistance with the process.”

Deputy McGreehan is encouraging clubs to take advantage of the initial three-week registration period and ensure they are ready ahead of the formal opening of applications.
