Louth Senator Erin McGreehan has encouraged Louth-based civic society projects with a cross border focus to apply for €1.5 million under the Shared Island Civic Society fund.
The funding is open for applications from civic society organisations from Monday 24 June 2024.
Senator McGreehan said: “The Shared Island Civic Society Fund has been developed as part of the Government’s Shared Island initiative and is supported through the Shared Island Fund.
“The fund is open to applications from the 24th June and I would encourage all eligible Louth based civic society organisations with a cross border focus to apply.
“Fianna Fáil in government will continue to champion Shared Island initiatives and promote practical cooperation and interaction in civic society on this island. We place a priority on promoting North South cooperation and enhancing cross-border civic, economic, cultural, and community links across the island.
“Applications can be made through the gov.ie website and must be received by 2 August.”
